Established in 2006, Hunting Dog Safaris was created to provide volunteer teachers working at Meru Peak School a quality, low-cost way to see the many natural wonders that Tanzania has to offer. Since then, our goal has expanded to include any volunteers or tourists in the area who wish to turn their tourist dollars into social good. We are a low-cost alternative to the bigger safari companies, and your tourism dollar goes toward a worthy cause: Meru Peak School.

We provide safari tours, nature tours and other outdoor adventures that will make Tanzania an exciting, memorable experience! We hire only local guides and drivers which assures that your tourist dollar goes toward helping the local economy, but most importantly, provides subsidies to the orphans and widows that are supported by Meru Peak School.
